Make sure she thinks it is your first time there, it might be weird if you say that you discovered it with your buddy.

I can't believe you sold your 800?

:cornfused: Never thought about that.... Don't worry the 800 is in better hands now, I get to do most of the mechanical work for it, my nuddy is just more skillful when it comes to body work, which i suck at :hammer:. But hey he lives in Smyrna so he will be coming to you for guidance. Maybe everyone will like my next purchases ;)

Accessories make the outfit. I have been preparing for Nationals later on this year. I got a set of NOS mirror heads and brackets that are now on the 100 :D

After a long work related vacation, I pulled the cover off and started it up. It hasn't ran for about 6 months. Hopefully this summer, it'll be roadworthy.

This was about a month ago now, but life gets in the way.

Always had a rough ride for the longest, on and off the road, well the old american racing brand front shocks were shot, and the rear shocks of unknown brand were complete toast as you can see from the last picture....

I always wondered why towing, my bumper dragged the ground, and on bumps and left turn my drive shaft made contact with my exhaust mufflers  Pic5 shows why.

Well the new front Monroe Gas Magnums ride so much smoother, and the rear Monroe Max Air shocks have been very helpful towing and hauling heavy loads for my rental job.

Plus when i fill the rear shocks up towards 100 psi the rear end is so jacked up it gives me this hot rod look, which always catches the eyes of more passerby's. :D

Life here has gotten in the way as well. We sold Donna's Scout, the 100 is getting ready for Nationals, I started my Terra and let her idle for a bit, the 200 delivered new patio furniture last week, and we drove the Travelall to Baskin Robbins last night! The WM was dreamed about.

All 6 summarized. Tucker looks like he got the most done on one

Well i got lucky and scored some free you heard(well read) FREE Wheels and tires. 33x10.50 BFGoodwrench A/T's, and stock 15x8 steel black wheels, good wheels good tires great tread. The i scored 3 more tires for free again as spares.

Then i figured a pic i took last thursday towing the 16 ft work trailer downtown loaded down with supplies and the inflatables for RiverBend.

An one picture of her at work late evening with the sun shining just barely over the mtns.

Pretty dull week other then this.

Nice score. Was the seller a gentlemen standing near a payphone with a non-traceable cell phone??

No, just a good friend of mine who didn't need them anymore.

Also JJ has a bunch of tiny friends living around his house, anyone care to take a guess at what they are?

Had to install a few things to get Thunder rolling straight and able to stay on the curvy bumpy roads where I live. Installed RC 4" lift (added over 4.5" to 5.5" at all four corners since the old leafs were so worn out), Straight Steer and 4 degree shims to get her driving better, started stripping some of the paint to try to get her ready for a primer coat, replaced some bent or missing wheel studs, bartered for some 33/12.5/15 tires on 15x10 wheels.

Now need to work on leaky gas tank (leaks when over filled) and fuel sending unit, leaky engine (seems to be oil coming from everywhere), leaky diffs (seems to be a recurring theme here...right), windshield wipers/arms, horn, bumpers, etc... Just getting started, got a long way to go.

Slowly getting the frame cleaned, primed and painted. Cleaned up the brackets for the rear suspension and getting them ready for paint. Ordered new rear spring eye bushings and shackles so I can begin getting things reassembled.

Slowly but surely.

You better hurry, bro, if it's going to make it to Ohio this weekend!

:D

Oh, yeah, update on mine. Um, I changed the oil, checked the other fluids, restocked my *** box of basic emergency swag, and uh, washed it...... Roadtrip!!

Edit: a questionably radioactive bird just took a great dane sized duke on the hood.
Note to self; Restock .223........

well:wrenching: I pumped up the tires on my dads scout that's been sitting for 15 years... they don't make tires like they used to, they blew up and held air like they were brand new:punk:

I need to get working on my truck again. The motor is the next big piece of the puzzle to do.

10606226_10203228357012129_7713010650447368401_n.jpg

I've finally got working on my project again and I'm starting to get a few things done.

I was able to meet IH1300 and get a 6.5' short fleetside bed for it. This was a major piece of my puzzle that I dIidn't have.

I'm getting ready to finish getting the motor torn down and think I've found a place I feel comfortable to do the machine work and they are fairly local to me. This will be a big item to get checked off the list.

My Father-in-Law got his blasting cabinet up and running and cleaned up the front aluminum timing gear cover and boy does it look good. I'm going to plan to clear the aluminum parts if I can find a clear that will hold up and not yellow.

I've decided to run the 4 speed for now since I have all the stuff to install it. I have another 4 speed from another Travelall and was hoping it was a close ratio, but it looks like I have two wide ratio T-19's. I think the close would make for a nicer driving truck.

I probably need to start a build thread to keep and document what I'm thinking and doing.
