Not many of those around. Best I can do is a Terrafaux. Terra top on a SII body. The roll bar you can get from almost any vendor or D&C has a full cage for it.

I just bought a 1979 Terra. I noticed it has the ssii rear insert and a good times inc door tag on the driver side. It also has a good scoop and headache rack with lights on it. Anyway to confirm if it’s a terra star?

I can verify it with the VIN and a picture of the Good Times Tag. Post here or PM. Would be nice to find another survivor. Only two confirmed so far, with another on the list but existence not confirmed.

Holy Crap! The Good TImes tag would indicate it's the third Good Times rig built (not the third Terrastar, the third Good Times rig built, Midnightstar, Travelstar OR Terrastar) which is exciting. Don't want to get you too worked up before I complete some research, but it was built BEFORE the March 23 unveiling and most likely used for promotional purposes. Couldn't be the prototype, because that was built in August of '78, but it's still extremely early. The build configuration is anomalous because it doesn't have the special paint listed, nor the other required options such as tilt sport wheel, sport grille, or off-road tire and wheel package. The LST could clear that up. The VIN does show it as a Terra w/345, etc. The original engine number should be 00307741. The Good Times tag is a clear indicator and it's possible it got a repaint, or that the special paint code was not listed on the FIche. The LST may clear that up. The research machine is rolling and I'll get back. In the meantime, you might so a little forensics on the paint to see if it's painted a metallic brown under that blue and look in places like under the dash and behind stuff. ABOVE ALL- PRESERVE THAT GOOD TIMES TAG! That is your provenance!!!!

Wow thanks for all the information! It has been repainted blue which is peeling in spots and I’ve seen black on the hood and red yellow and orange on the sides. It has aftermarket wheels in it but there is one in the bed that is yellow

I remember those seats , door panels, and steering wheel.. we had them in one of our scouts growing up.. was that a "rallye" package or something?

interesting.. as I remember my dad buying that scout as a dealer demo when he tried to order a second 1980 diesel and the factory kicked it back as undeliverable as he reach end of production.. (the 1980 he did get and still has was built on day before the last).. the scout with those seats got destroyed by a falling tree and then rodents ate the interior when he stored it in his barn so he parted it out

I know this is an old post but did you buy that Terra? Where did you find it?

I bought it, but then got a Midas SSII, so I sold it. I am not sure what happened to it. The buyer pretty much fell off the earth a few months later.

Wow, very cool! im a big Terra fan and this one looked pretty interesting. Any info you can share on the buyer that I might be able to pursue would be appreciated.

The guy who bought it came with another guy who may have been a partner in the deal. The guy was Chris Dicus, I don’t remember the partners name - there seems to be some stuff happens with Chris and others in the Scout community - not sure exactly- but next thing I know- Chris disappeared from the Scout world.
