    Well...

It snowed for about 12 hours straight in Hillsboro today. Here's some early progress:

    And later in the afternoon:

Pretty much a snow day for all of us tomorrow :)

It didn't snow much around here. It barely dusted the grass. So no snow day today.

But it did get COLD! BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

It got down to 12 degrees over night and it is currently only 15 degrees.

I know for those who live in places like the cold North or the mid-west, teens doesn't sound cold.

But for those of us in the wet part of WA state, teens is about twenty degrees below what is normally considered a cold winter's day.

    Like I said, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

It snowed all sorts of........snow up here, and my truck is sitting in front of the house until I finish fixing the brakes. The first snow and I missed it. I was so bummed. This will also be the first snow it's ever driven in.

I'm actualy in Washington, and these pictures are from last year... but right now it looks almost exactly the same from the dusting we got Saturday night. No time so far to get new pictures this year.

No, in fact there were quite a few folks out Sunday morning. I hit the Bi-Mart to get chains for the Volvo, some insulated bibs, and to flirt with my favorite 20-something cashier  Later in the day things 'hardened up' and the outside temp hasn't been above 25° since

All the roads around here are sheets of ice except for a 2 track lane on TV highway. I chained the Volvo so the girls have transport, and put chains on the back of the Traveler before heading in to the gym. That trip was 'interesting' enough that I'm going to chain up the front before I attempt the trip in to the office tomorrow AM.

Well, here's mine, not all naturally snow covered though. Works been delayed and hopefully will get canceled. Will put the scout in the garage and start pulling the dash to put in the defroster tubing, fix the fuel gauge, and clean up the wiring.:sailor: Looking for more snow on Wednesday!:gunsmilie:

    EH Scouters,
it happened again we got snow here on the rock as well. The Scout just watched from its winter spot as the cub Original plowed up the neighbourhoods driveways and sidewalks. I had a good 3 hours of seat time on Sun and was looking forward to another dump last nite but all we got was rain and temps are above freezing at the moment.
Micheal your scout looks like its having fun !

    Michael,

Get some "Stover Nuts" from your local hardware store.

    That will fix it.

They are a locking nut, usually identified by 3 small recesses on the face of the nut. They have an oblong threaded hole in them, and are very good for use in places where things might rattle apart.

However, they can be a bear to remove after they are installed.

A few more pictures from today. I headed up to the IHCS to pick up Dad. This is what I found when I reached my Scout in the morning.

The entire Scout was covered with a 1/4 to 1/2" of ice. Once I chipped my way in I headed up to get Dad.
Here is one of the rigs at IHCS..

Once I picked up Dad we drove up to the IHCS upper storage farm. He wanted to check in on his cousins. They had been without power since late lastnight. I wanted to drive in the snow and ice....:winky: This is what we forund after we drove around the Road Closed signs...:dita:

    Ant then this...
I had trown in the chainsaw hoping for this...
Once we arrived at the upper farm. We found things to be in pretty good shape. We left a propane heater and a phone and a little BS then we were on our way. I took this picture of 2 of my Travelalls. I call it "Snow Falling on Binders"....:dita:
