Big Rigg, Did you see the 76 for sale where you live? it's rough but in your town didn't know if you seen it. AD
Yea I've personally dealt with him and seen other times where he buys them off CL or marketplace and immediately relists it in the Scout groups for double or more I've still got my yellow Scout I've had it for 19yrs this April its a little neglected right now unfortunately Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Glad you still got it Matt at least its in a shed just needs a wash job like a couple of mine do you start it up any? You need to drive that thing it is awesome. What about the red half cab scout ii do you still have it? Sorry for all the questions I just think those two were awesome. AD
Yes, I did. It's right here in my hometown. From the pictures, it looks way overpriced. I thought about calling the guy, but i wouldn't want to give much over scrap price for it. There isnt much left.
Yeah, weve crossed paths. He has beaten me to more than 1. But I got the crown jewel. 1967 sport top convertible. He wasn't too happy about that one. Lol!
yeah it looked about a 1000 dollars overpriced he also had a 76 grille for sale I saw too. Could be saved but rough. I seen a red Scout in the back ground also. AD
No traded the red one for a couple 800s which is how I became acquainted with the flipper/scalper in LR, when I got ready to sell my 800s he came down to look at it going on about how he needs it for his project after looking everything over he asks if id take a little less(I'm already taking a loss) I say sure he needs it for his project I'm always glad to help a fellow binder guy the next day it was listed on the Scout groups at quadruple what I sold it to him for I've still got my yellow one and the '74 i got from my sister and the vin plate and frame from my '77 SSII, trying to get the red '79 from my dad and '72 which was the first vehicle I ever drove it started as my moms daily driver about 30yrs ago and later was my dads dd Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
Been working on my buildings all week and trying to figure out where I put the linkage for the 727 throttle lever lower half. Be back on it again in the morning should be done the next couple days and at a point I can stop and work on the Scout a few days. AD
Got 99% of the building all sorted and cleaned up but no linkage so I'll have to look a couple more places it has to be there because I didn't store any of the parts anywhere else. Tomorrow is supposed to be high winds and cold so don't know if I'll work any or not. AD
I found the linkage over the weekend and installed it but it didn't reach high enough to work right so I am going to either modify it or use the Lokar cable. Been working in the building a bunch this week trying to get organized and set up to work indoors. AD
Not really on mine. Put about 10 gal in the tank is about the best I can say for it during this time of year.
I did! I got the flat bed on the truck. It took a lot to get there, but it looks good. I need to wire in some lights and attach it to the frame, but it's there. I need to figure out a fuel tank, and tie up a few loose ends. But, I'm excited to finally see it come together.
Just read about something cool was reading about galvanizing and it said that to dip a frame such as for a binder was about 360 and their were multiple locations nationwide so I did a search and found a 34'x5'4"x8' dip tank in Prairie Grove, AR. A frame like that would last forever. AD
Finally some sunshine! Now I might actually get something done. Got the fan relay location figured out yesterday and got the cable ordered for the kick down. Now I have to pick up the radiator cap and we are 3% away from start up. AD
I'm sure it would have to be bare and that was the price at a location in another state it might be more here. AD
