Rust varies from pinholes mucho in the bed to sorta plenty in the cab floor and lots of surface Rust and metal exposure on the body.

The body has been painted 3 coats. I have sanded off the third coat and down to a surface that is a combination of the two coats and the metal exposure. Used sandpaper, steel wool, cleaned with mineral oil and sprayed on Rustoleum where sanded metal was showing.

After looking around I feel certain that I will also do the paint and would really appreciate comments and any references in the Austin, Marble Falls, Frdricksburg areas...

I am currently painting mine a section at a time with a cabinet paint roller. I'm using Rust-oleum Marine paint. It's called Rust-Oleum Topside Paint. I had to order it. West Marine might have it though. So far it's turned out pretty well.

Photo of the top. Not professional, but decent.

Am working in my barn and have started to spray Rustolleum Rust to stop rusting over..messed up my Camo ideas for paint.
My roof is bent up but not real noticiable.. It pops in some but pops out too. Have a top like new.. Is it worth installing?? Sure, appreciate your help. Have a good windshield too. ..

I really really like what you have done. How did you do it? Sure doesn't start to look like a roller job to me. I thought you needed a sprayer with big time pressure.....

Washed with TSP, let dry, washed with ammonia, let dry. Sanded with 150, wiped down with mineral spirits. Taped around the glass, door handles, and side mirrors. I used the cabinet and door 3" rollers. Put one coat on, sanded with 220, and rolled on another coat. I have some orange peel in places. I need to sand with 1000 grit and 2000 grit and polish with a buffer. It's not professional but it is uniform and shiny.

You are welcome. Like I said, it's not professional but it's not expensive and looks a lot better than it did before. I used Rust-Oleum Topside Paint for boats. It is supposed to be uv resistant.
