High Wheeler
Just got this hauled in, it's a 1948 panel wagon. amazing solid and original. doesn't run, engine has been taken apart.. rear doors need some work and roof above them. truck is 95% complete. this may be the coolest ih I have owned yet. I got plenty of projects, really need to think what to do for drivetrain. should this truck be just clearcoated? the seats are crazy cool and the teardrop taillights are way cool.
I tried buying truck since last spring. seller was a jerk. I asked for picture of engine he said don't run so he wasnt taking a pic. no paypal, no cashiers cheque , no Wal-Mart to wal-mart, no wire...cash only in person. would take any interior pics other than seat. He said, do you know what a 70 plus yr old truck looks like? I said ya, kinda, then you don't need pics. uggg..i offered send a check wait 2 months to be certain cleared..nope cash only..so, finally after half a yr went by I contacted members of the ih club in Colorado asked if anyone from Boise area, a coupke guyvs said yup...so one helped me, not sure he wants me to mention name, but much thanks. I wired him money, he went bought it picked up and I had a trucker pick up at his house..couldn't have done it without help from the IH community!
