Mystery Engine wire bottom right front

So I have searched and checked my manual and have yet to find out what this wire is for. It comes out of the bottom front right of the engine. This is a 1977 scout II 345 (me thinks). It is cut and wrapped around the frame. The scout runs with no issues.

That is a heating element to heat the engine in cold weather when parked overnight.

Just goes to a male 120v plug.

Just replace it with a standard core plug.

Don... wouldn’t need a block heater if Canada would stop sending that cold artic air are way. Live in central Minnesota. Canada makes the daily weather report especially during the winter months.
