What does a model 70 Freezer weight? Is moving one up a set of stairs a 2 person job?

I can't find an answer. I guess treat it like a 300 lb. fat man... 2 guys and some moving equipment should be enough to move it anywhere. Something you're looking to move? Maybe I can give you a hand with it.

Is it an upright, or chest type? Any pictures?
I can't help you with the weight either, but did recently see a refrigerator being carried up outside stairs by a single fellow using some kind of harness that went around the unit and apparently up his back and over his shoulders. I was to far off to see details. Might be worth searching the internet for or calling Home Depot which he was delivering for. Probably could be jury rigged, if a good design.

Jeff, I really like your Model 70.

Do you have it all cleaned up and in service now in a prominent display location?

In your massive IH warehouse/museum to document this particular model? Or maybe something else?

My new Model 70 made it home today. 2 man job as stated. I made a 2x6 sled and strapped the freezer to that making it a hell of a lot easier to lift. Of course i took the heavy end.

It cleaned up well enough for a 65/70 year old appliance. Half of beef should be here withinb next two weeks so perfect timing.

If anyone has a spare set of dividers or shelves let me know.

Yeah got a few looks and thumbs up along the way.
The freezer is in decent shape overall. The underside of the lid has some damage and there is some light rust on the inside and some exterior surface rust. For 70 years old its in good shape.
