I have a differential but I am missing the carrier clamps.
Can new ones be machined to match?

They .need to be machined to the housing. They're a perfect fit. What happened to the original caps ?

I had two in my old dana 44 rear that didnt match the housing. Never proved to be a problem and drove tons of miles on it.

I doubt you'd find "new" ones. You may find a pair in the JY that could be made to work.

From same style diff.

Or just get a whole new/ used housing.

A telescope gauge at a few diff points with the caps tightened down would should if you're round or not.

What axle do you have? If its just a Scout II front or rear just buy a good core axle. That way the investment of new gears and bearings is insured.
