Just getting the paint and bodywork finished. I had to stop the rot before it took over completely. Besides, I good body is great motivation.

Looks great! I'll be over this weekend to pick your brain about sequence of metal replacement( just kidding). But it would be helpful to talk to you.

This one was said to have had "light rust". This is apparently what you say when you have to replace both floorboards, all four lower fenders and the windshield surround. I intended to put it in primer and get the steel replaced. I wanted to paint next year. But, as I'm retiring at years end, I decided to get the expensive stuff done now.

Did you find a metal windshield frame, or was it fiberglass?

Did you do the work, or have it done. (keep in mind if you did the work, you will be everyone's new favorite)

The truck came with a spare window frame that was supposed to be rust free. It was found to have significant Bondo around the vents. A new piece was cut and welded in it's place.

I'd intended to do much of this myself but as I'm retiring at the end of the year and I wanted the body work finished before I left the Houston area, I opted to have a restoration shop do the rust repair and body work. I will be doing most of the mechanical work.
