We can do it at the barn. May have to geta few guys to come Friday and help clean up for Saturday's work/hangout, though. It's not too bad, but it IS full.

So thanks to Mr. Moore delivering my bumpers and a couple extra goodies, I have been working to get them installed. I got the front done and hopefully get the back done tomorrow. Here it is so far.

I know I keep saying it, but the Moore Brothers and Scouto are the best. I took Old Blue up to Scoutco for an upgrade. This upgrade will tick some purists off but moving into the modern era of drive trains will be the best thing I've done. We got the old 392 and 727/D-20 out and the new setup in very quickly.

It is a 5.3 motor and a 4L60E trans out of a Silverado. If you are thinking about it, give Scoutco a call. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Man it's been awhile since Ive updated this thread. Reading it made me remember how much fun this whole project has been. I have made some really good friends since the beginning of this build. The Scout is sitting out in the driveway, and I try to drive it once or twice a week. But sitting out in the weather isn't doing her any good. She is starting to develop a little cancer. I had thought about selling her off so that someone with more time and cash than I have could fix her up even more. She just needs quarters and caps, a new top,. All cosmetic work. But after reading through this thread I'm torn about what to do with her. I hate to see her just sitting outside succumbing to Mother nature. She has been a fun rig. I have learned so much from a lot of knowledgeable people. So we will see what the future brings for her. If I keep her I'm going to have to get the body and paint done, maybe take the lift off and go back to stock height, stock bumpers and change the "Blurple" out to a Silver and some other color combo....... We will see.
Thanks again for all of the advice guys. I truly owe y'all a debt. Johnnie
