Hello, I'm new here, In 1976 I purchased a new scout, 4 banger 4 speed. In late 1977 a SSll, 345 auto. Anyway it was totaled out, bought it back from the insurance outfit. Then figured after going to the rallies for years, I would make it for hill climb / sand drags. Installed a 440 built engine 727 which was tricky, 4.88 rear, 4.56 front, and dana 20. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it. Now I have to figure out posting pics.

Ron, After things changed, I kept the scout till 1995-96 after I restored a 1957-S-120-4X4. Pic attached. Had sold the motor, trans and transfer case, and gave it to a friend 50 miles west of here, he still has it. He has a small yard of scouts, travelall, pickups etc.

That thing deserves to be put back together. Not many SSIIs were made, and a lot of them were driven hard, including mine.
