Believe it or not, there are no vehicle inspections in California. But I did figure there might be some law about it. OTOH, all Scouts have a pretty "old" look. And earlier than some certain year, no vehicles had side markers. So I'll bet it would take some digging for an agency representative to determine whether a Scout II needs side marker lights.
