You wouldn't like mine, straight piped too haha. Wife doesn't mind the noise, loves the rattle, hates the smell. I think I actually mind the noise more than she does i might actually put the muffler back on i had to take it for a straight pipe ride before deciding. 35" less frame, no mechanical fan, much shorter driveshaft... didn't notice a lick of difference in power.
When I sprayed had a thin stripe not get covered, using black 1/4" pinstriping to hide the booboo, hopefully get these felts and windows all installed today.
Awesome. I love it but I might be bias since that's almost exactly what it did with mine, tinted raptor liner and a white roof.
I think I'll just blast it next round with the raptor gun, it'll be alot more durable, spraying with the hvlp ive already got some chips in it.
Forgot to add, driverside charge pipe had to be shortened, I overshortened it and had to stretch the boot on.. it was hanging off had a small gap in it after fixing that she runs like a raped ape!
Not as good as yours! Mines a rig, yours is a restoration. Westcoast mirrors installed yesterday, my dads done some plates for the sidemarkers hes going to polish them up tomorrow. These will just get a small trailer sidemarker led. Working on getting the rear window operating, motor is arcing so I'll more than likely just toss in a cheap replacement.. I'd really like to run those window felts all the way up for the rear window. Emissions allowed for opacity @ 55, beast came in at 2.3 and thats straight pipe, last fillup was 130+ miles ago, only took 5 gallons so I'm looking at 26mpg with no hood and no rear window!
Here's the new sidemarkers, my dad kept a template if anyone on here wanted to go the same route. Here's my cheap version of Westcoast mirrors, holding up at 65mph but have a fair amount of jiggle, only set me back about 110 bux so far, definitely going to be making some stabilizer bars.. trying to keep it simple with minimal bracketry.
I am digging this build, I have a 2002 Super Duty 7.3 that I am hoping to put a D- Series Travelall body on one day. I barely have time to keep my stock 75 going.... someday...
Only had about 11' x 1 1/2' of rockmat left for the 4 doors and tailgate so sectioned that into 5 equal parts and rationed them out.. looks sparce but huge difference closing doors and stereo is sounding great. This is as quiet if not quieter than the 97 Dodge was. Looking to start the next project for my oldest boy (14) what do you guys think... am I ready for this mess? 1927 Studebaker, I love these mobsters but the photos make me nervous
Wow...that would be quite a project...before jumping on it , I would look it over really good and make a list of what's there and what's missing...see if what's missing can still be sourced... access what body panels will need replaced and see if they can be made without to much trouble..
I've been eyeballing that Stoodie for well over a week, might take the hour drive to check it out in person next week.. but yeah if theres massive cancer (probably the case) I'll have to pass on it.. heck I'd be afraid to even strap that thing on a car dolley and drive 25mph the whole way home.
