I've always wanted to own an old cornbinder. Saw this thing in front of a salvage yard, went in and asked about it. It only cost $500. Turns over fine, cooling system has some minor issues. No brakes. Seems to be in reasonably good shape for a salvage truck. Hoping to get it roadworthy in time for the classic car parade this September.

Hello and welcome to BinderPlanet.

Looks like you found yourself a great truck, and, at least from the pictures you've shared, appears to be pretty rust free (that's a big deal).

Any long term plans for it?

I'm hoping to eventually sell my '98 xj and daily drive this thing. It's got a 345 and the 4 speed, plus a pretty beefy towing bumper.

Does the welder work?
That's a crazy good deal for a fin.
If the truck is as rust free as the pics look, you should get good service out of it.
