    No spark at points?

Hi all. I have run my truck (The Turnip Truck) for the past 5ish years, or maybe a little more. As many of you may know, I knew absolutely nothing when I started out. I kinda just replaced stuff until I got it to work. Nowadays, throwing parts at the problem is not my first choice, but back then...

    304 runs rough/vibrates when hot

Hello! I have a 73 Scout II with the 304, 4 speed, and single speed transfer case. 51,000 miles on motor. 600+ since we revived it from 20+ years of siting. When the motor gets warmed up, (oil too), sometimes, after moving and going back down to idle, the motor will start shaking like it has a...

AFI (Affordable Fuel Injection) TBI Install

So after many years of thinking about it I decided to swap over to fuel injection, however my timing was terrible. Last spring I started looking and Hamilton was out and I didn't have the time to source all of the parts individually, so what system to get. I really liked the simplicity of the...

    First-time IH owner!!

Howdy All! I'm new to the IH scene. I just rescued this heep from going to a wrecking yard. It has been sitting in a garage for 45 years! The owner is a family member and tired of looking at it, so score one for me. What I know: Its a 1964 IH Travelall. Door panel says C1100 It seems to...

Hello folks, Wishing you all a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! I’m helping my cousin Doug get his 79 Scout II ready to drive from New Mexico to Wisconsin. I bought for it a ignition wire set with the rotor cap’s male studs connectors. Well, the wire set came with 5 90-deg angle...

    1973 1110 “Project X” Build Thread ( LOTS OF PICS! )

I’ll start out by saying I have always been a Ford man, I have a 76’ F250 4x4, 95’ F350 CCLB, and a 20’ Ranger. Though I’ve always loved internationals and I think they’re ridiculously underrated. It’s cool to see they have the following they deserve and I’m sure this forum will be of big help...

    Thermostat on a 304

I thought I was having an overheating issue, so I was gonna replace the thermostat, but it doesn't have one so I guess that's not it. Unless that is the thermostat, and its just stuck in there?

    1968 1100C Parking brake.

Hi there! I want to get the parking brake sorted out on my truck, and I didn't know what I should do. It kinda works, but if I'm on a hill it can still role slowly. I tightened the cable under the truck and it helped, but it still doesn't work quite right. Should I tighten it a little more?

    Tires for a 68 1100C

Hi there! I am contemplating getting some taller tires for my truck, and I wanted to get other opinions. I got a good deal on the tires I have currently, which is why I have them. They make the truck pretty low to the ground, so much so, that it can be hard for me to slide under there. I don't...

    hot 304?

I see plenty of posts about 304 heads on 345's, but am wondering if I can put 345 heads on a 304? I'm guessing that getting the 304 intake to match will be a problem, though maybe not insurmountable. The larger ports on the 345 heads would help with getting fuel/air in and exhaust out. I was...

    What engine do I have?

So I'm also trying to figure out if my engine is a 304 or 345. Is there an easy way to find that out? My 1967 1200B had two gas tanks and has 13 leaf springs in the back. Someone told me it was a campermobile probably which has a 345 V8.

    Janky 800 carb/choke replacement question

I have a 1970 800A with a 304 motor in excellent condition overall. The PO did a super janky choke fix where they zip tied the choke cable to an air hose. Needless to say, it's not great. Also, the current air filter is too small and the poor thing is gasping for air. See pics for the stupid. :)...
