Default weekend report Sept 25-26

My weekend started off great. I got home to find my new spare tire carrier at my doorstep (along with one of my old Darlington Co., SC friends). Went to the USC vs. AU game Sat night and sat in the Carolina section with said friend. (not sure about the guy with the chef hat.."can you smell what the cocks are cookin?" Then the downside, I went to check on my boat at the storage place today to find out vandals had knifed my upholstery. This was a downer, as my wife and I reupholstered this boat ourselves. And to top it all off my fantasy football team sucked an egg.

I started installing taller body mount bushings on my travelall from Energy Suspension. It will set the body up about 1/2- 3/4 inch over stock mainly for clearance off the frame. Bushings fit good except I had to grind the holes slightly bigger on the frame for the bushings to fit into. Its off about 1 32 of inch. Need 4 5 1/2 long bolts for the 4 rear mounts in bed area. In the front 4 I used the longer head bolts from a SV engine. Fit perfectly.

Sorry about your boat. I know that sucks. I will never own a boat without a trailer. I keep mine at home inside my garauge. I coulnt sleep at night knowing its at a marina somewhere.

Mark that sucks. I hate vandals and a thief, my boat was slashed sitting at my lake house last year, got my sundeck, covers, as well as my tires and poked holes in the side of the boat. Insurance covered it, but it took most of the summer to repair. Storage lots suck as well, just had my tow dolly stolen from behind my motorhome (hitch locked!) while it was sitting in a "secured parking area". I moved it there after my boat got vandalized, thinking I was making the better decision.

I hung out at Ted's house Saturday, played with the cub cadet in the am. That was about it.

Well no IH work for me this weekend due to another wedding. I did manage to get the front end on the 200 completed earlier in the week. Had to install some pinion angle shims up front to compensate for the slight lift the new springs created. I also got all the brake lines hooked back up and the tie rod and drag link reinstalled and lubed.

Man Mark I hate to hear about your boat. We need to go back to the hangin days to set an example for stupid people like that. Fri night me and the wife almost finished up the wet sanding and buffing on Dons rig. Sat. I spent most of the day pulling and reinstalling my tranny out of my green scout for the 3rd time to swap torque converters. The Dayco reman I had gotten had all the bolt hole helicoiled and they had pulled out causing a nasty rattle and shake. Sun got some more time in on Don's rig and finished laying the UPOL in the interior.

BTW. Gary my wedding was about a 1 hour event on a Sat. and I was back to wrenching the following Mon.
