...Today Stacy is building a hotrod out of a '69 Loadstar. It's called the Heavy Metal Project.

In a music video for the song "Young Blood" by The Naked and the Famous, there's a shot of a guy jumping on the hood of an unfortunate Scout 80/800. The rest of the video looks like Levi's commercial.

I'm sure this classic is already in the forum somewhere, but here's to the 70's! Beers, babes, brats, and of course the SSII!

New Sears comercial, couple is crusing in a Scout, top off. Quick shot of it driving, then they stand in front of if showing Dr head light and half grill. And a nice side shot. Not knowledge able enough to tell what type.
Now, if I am wrong, I blame my son. He broke our remote this morning, so I can not rewind to be sure.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=AXbzAbFyEjs

Once they hit the beach, no more scout.

Sorry, but that is a Scout clone, made by the Ford Motor Company. I think they called it a "Bronco". I never saw one off-road though.

You mean they didn't come with rust from the factory?

Hah. And one of the original Subaru Brats. I had the sibling of that car, a '77 4wd Wagon. In fact, that's the car I finally sold when I bought my Scout in '91. Sure is tiny compared to the other vehicles in that seen. I think the curb wt was 2400#. Don't imagine there's anything that light being sold today in this country.
