Default Scout 800 radiator

Given the recent success of our Scout II and Travellall radiators, we have received some inquiries from early Scout owners about the possibility of us making a version for those (80 and 800 models). It is something we are currently looking to do, and we are now searching for a vehicle for us to mock one up into. Is there anyone in the NW metro Atlanta area who has one who would be willing to let us "borrow" your Scout so that we can get one built? All the test fitting will be done in your driveway/garage, so you need not worry about your Scout leaving your sight. We would like to find a vehicle that is as close to stock as possible (factory engine location, all accessories intact, no body lift, etc.) so that we have fewer variables to work around. If anyone is interested, please shoot me a PM or an email (thedude@rndfabrication.com) and to let us know. Obviously, whoever wants to help us out will receive a SERIOUS deal on the "prototype unit" should you decide you want to keep it.

Thank you all in advance,
Mike

Ideally, we want to test fit with the V8 first as that will probably be the most restrictive. Once we have that nailed down, we can take the prototype unit and mock it up in the others to make sure it fits / see what changes have to be made.

Sounds like you got a lab rat in jetmech. If it doesn't work out, pm me.

We finished up our prototype late last week, and will be getting in touch with jetmech shortly to arrange a time to test-fit and see if any changes are required. Here is a link to our updated webpage:

And here are some images:

Hey, guys - just to give you a status report, we test fit our 80/800 prototype into a rig last weekend and we are getting very close to having this one ready for market. We do have some slight tweaking to do, but we were all very happy with how well it fits so far. We will kepp you up to date with the progress, but in the mean time here are some teaser pics.

Special THANX go out to jetmech for allowing us to use his rig as the test mule.

Will the factory fan shroud be able to bolt up to the finished product?

Thanks,
Davis

most-likely not, but we haven't test-fit it to be sure. If Jetmech has one, we'll check when we do the final test-fit after we modify the mounts.

Are you planning on having an electric fan/shroud combo available to fit the 800? Thanks for the info and all the work yall have put into this.

Absolutely! We really like the electric fan option for a whole host of reasons, and we do our best to make that option work on all of our radiators.
