72 travelall dies

I have a 72 travelall that I have been restoring/ working on for about 10 yrs. I have replaced or rebuilt everything. It ran great for about 2 years then developed this problem of dying when out and about and wouldnt start again until cool. The last replacement was a gas line with a rubber gas hose an dnew fuel pickup and float to mitigate clogging. the problem: the engine acts like its starving for fuel after warm up. Ive checked the carb, choke, gas tank, pump, lines, filters (2) and still no joy. I see fuel in the filter by the carb.

Is it vapor locking?

Have you very carefully pulled the top off the carb when this happens to see if there's any gas in there?

Once warm it doesn't run right? Is the choke working properly?

Just some random ideas that came to mind...

Have you replaced the ignition coil? When coils get "old," the spark gets progressively weaker as the coil heats up (when the engine is running). First thing in the morning, it works great, but it quickly goes downhill from there...

It looks like you've got fuel; next time she quits, pull a plug and see if you've got fire.

Closely related to Mike's post, the wrong coil...more to the point...the wrong resistance value can create this problem too. I'll be interested to read the answer to Mike's question.
