Default 1985 CJ Leaf Springs on Scout 80?

The question is will a 4" lift spring kit for a 1985 CJ fit a Scout 80

The BB FAQ states :

Lift Springs for Scout 80 or 800 - Top

Springs from the CJ "Universal" (1955 - 1975) will fit the early model Scouts. Due to the weight difference between a Scout and a CJ, however, a "nominal" 4-inch CJ lift will only net about 2-inches under a Scout, and the rears have been known to sag within a couple of years.

Mr. Scout of Eugene, Oregon is rumored to be selling a 3-inch lift spring kit for Scout 80/800, but he's not sharing his source. (Nothing wrong with protecting his sales, by the way -- since he either *found* it or is having it made.)

Scout MADness (Lubbock, TX) sells a kit to put Scout II springs under a Scout 80/800, resulting in some lift. This kit can be combined with a reverse-shackle kit.

No, the CJ Universal is the earlier AMC CJ's. Up to early 70's I believe.

I think the 86 CJ springs are a different width.
