Default Z-Links -ScoutFam

A friend of mine builds these. the cost is $100 shipping included and you finish it yourself. super strong and uses your existing drag link to finish it up if your looking to do it yourself this is a good start.

Heavy wall square tube but instead of corner gussets welded on edge the gussets sandwich the tube and are edge welded and plug welded all the way through. I also put a pic of the one on my rig. The one I have was a proto type the new verson goes all the way to the ends of your drag link so it is super beefy. Just had my rig on a level 4 today with no problems.

this gives you an idea of what is inside the sandwich

That looks pretty beefy but I like how isa's uses stronger TRE than the factory bar does. I just had a TRE snap on me right at the threads. It looked like it might have been a bad cast from the way it broke but I don't want to take any chances.

It looks nice!

But usually, With S.O.A. comes bigger tires!

And with bigger tires you are putting more stress on the stock TRE's.

So when they wear or fail, You have to dig up or buy a new drag link anyway to cut/grind/drill/weld etc. to rebuild it, If it is rebuildable!
IMO, time consuming and costly and not as safe!

That is why i use beefier TRE's on D.O.M. tube, Built To Last!
If they need replacement, Just unscrew old TRE, Screw in new TRE.

If you feel i stepped on you, I apologize, Not my intent!

Just my .02

No worries man I was considering telling my bud that he should upgrade to removable TREs in his design... always a work in progress that is why my wife nicknamed my rig "mistress" I spend more time with her than with the wife, well in her opinion anyway. She says if she catches me kissing her she will leave me
