Default Need help wiring a 4.3L

I have put a 4.3L into my scout 80 and am trying to wire the engine. I think I have some of the wires figured out, but I wanted to check and also ask about the ones about which I have no clue.

The first pic is the wiring diagram for the engine.

The second pic is the wiring diagram from my wiring harness. It's a 94 Chevy s-10 engine so I'm thinking that it will be the late model charging system.

The third pic is a close up of the HEI and the wiring diagram. Now I think that the purple wire from the tach should go to white wire coming out of the ignition coil (where the arrow is pointing) and the red wire should go to the pink. Is that right?

The fourth pic is a close up of the wiring on the alternator. My guess is the white and red wires attach to the red/black and brown wires, but which is which?

The fifth pic is a close up of the wires going into the throttle body at the throttle control sensor. This is the only place I can think that the choke wire would go, but which wire should I tie into? The only other wires on the throttle body go to the idle air control valve. It wouldn't go there, would it?

I know these are a lot of questions, but wiring is my weakest skill. I've read the wiring info on here and it's like reading Chinese to me. I appreciate any help you guys can give!

So has anyone got any info here? I went ahead and wired the coil after talking with a neighbor who has car experience. But that still leaves three wires. The choke, and the alternator wires. Can anyone help me out on this?

Thanks,

Rhees

Lots of answers.
Have you thought about looking in the Fuel injection forum under the FAQ's?

There's even a step by step for adding FI to the IH.

I will say, you should not run that system straight off your scout wiring!

You need a relay or two.

I'll check that FAQ. I haven't read that one. I have completely replaced the wiring with a harness from EZ-Wiring. It's a good kit, although it's lacking in instruction in a couple of places. Thanks for the advice.

Anyone else have some thoughts? I'm down to three wires but I'm stumped.

What answers were not answered by the EFI FAQ's?

It list every wire required to make the EFI work.

Ok. So I've been broke for a while and couldn't work, but now I'm back in action. So I went and found a schematic in the FAQ and I just want to check and make sure I'm not getting ready to wire this thing wrong. I have two wires for my alternator. A white one that's labeled alt. exciter and a red one labeled alt. power. Looking at the schematic below I'm planning on wiring the white wire to the brown and the red to red. Does this sound right?
