that is great looking. i'm stoked. bob is only able to go to the yard on weekends. i'm hoping this coming saturday i can go. fred has offered up the car hauler. i'm sure my truck could pull it, but a 3/4- 1 ton would work better. any one that wants to go. let me know. if some one "cough ,,sully!,,cough" wants to be the tow truck. and any other to make a parts run for their own projects. we have an offical invite from hill country group to meet up there and have one big parts swap, work weekend.
so if any would be up for that. post up. so we can plan this with them.
any ways. i'd like to hit the yard early. and spend some time to see if it will run, atleast enough to drive on the trailer. if all needed things line up right, i might even be able to have the future owner to be there as well. (if he parents are ok with it) as this will no longer be a surprize. his parents decided that it would be too much on me,us. to do it all and hand over the keys and he would learn nothing. so he will be a part of this from the start. and the final out come will depend on him and his involment. with a lot of expert help from all of us.
btw kessler gets back from summer camp tomorrow. so he will learn of all this then. and i'm sure we will all hear from the man himself. thanks for every thing so far.

Sorry, I have a 1/2-ton, same as you JT, and have to work this Saturday. (Way behind and need the money) I may send a shopping list though. Looking for a reasonable set of headers for my yellow '73 w/ 304.

ok update time. i meet with the owner to be and his dad today. and it's all systems go! he said he has the 200 to buy the truck and is ready to pick it up asap. so i'm hoping we can do it this saturday. i need to get ahold of bob and see if that will work for him. as far as the two clubs meeting there as a work day/ parts run. that is up in the air. post up people and let me know.
in any case the plan will be to head out early saturday morning and then spend some time playing with it to see if the truck will run with just a little work. maybe we can bottle feed it on to the trailer. if not just load it up and bring it home. showed kessler the web site today so he may be on here later on. as he will soon become the newest member of gcb. everyone who has generously offered money up please hold on to it for now. it may be needed for parts in the future. but this kid has a good sense of value and has saved some money from a previous job. and is looking for work now. although he has zero experience with restoration or turning a wrench in genrall. i will be working close with him as i am right here across the street. but as with others this will be an open door project. and any one who wants to help can. as i am no scout expert i'm sure i will be asking lots of questions. looking forward to a fun project.

single axle with a 1-7/8 ball and 2 boards missing(but they are in the center so it should matter) also I use a piece of plywood as a ramp on each side. as far as a connector, I have been meaning to put some lights on that thing just haven't gotten around to it

just kidding it is a 16ft tandum axle 12,000lb trailer with a 2-5/16 ball. 7 pin connector and the ramps slide out the back. brakes on 1 axle (brakes will only work if you have a brake controler in the cab)

I have yet to use this trailer, but a buddy went to Mississippi and brought back a full size short bed Ford 4x4 and said it pulled great.
