Your talking about a REVERSE SHACKLE, or RS, not necessarily a SOA or SPRING OVER AXLE conversion.
To separate items, that can be done at the same time, or separately. For a RS, shackle through the frame can help keep the whole thing lower, i.e. not as much lift from the RS conversion. Strength is not an issue if you use good components and good welding. Under the frame is easier but can tend to add more lift over-all. Performance wise.... wash. |
