Default Auto to Manual T case location?

I searched around and only found one thread where some one said that they were 99.9% sure that the transfer case is in the same spot when changing from auto to manual transmission.

Can anyone verify this for me?

I just want to make sure because I have a lot of variables due to chevy axles, SOA, lift springs and tranny swap.

Thanks!

I believe that the transfer case is about 7/8" farther to the rear than with a 4spd manual.

Alright thanks. So if I set my pinion angles with an auto it shouldn't be a concern when I swap to a manual.
