Default Zippo Lighter

Here is a 1960s-vintage lighter on eBay. I know not much else about it.

I have posted these before, but for the threads sake, here is my 2 sets of IHC cufflinks and tie clips, worn by salesman at IH dealerships! Just dandy for that special black tie occassion.

Default Dealer Sales Aid

Here is something pretty cool I just found on eBay.

"This is an International Harvester Film Strip and Record set from the See-Tell-Sell Series. It is titled "Scout vs Bronco Comparison". It contains a 35mm film strip and a 45rpm record. This item came from a former IH dealer who has been in business since 1952 and was an authorized dealer for nearly 40 years. During the decline of IH, he bought out 293 other dealerships to attain a unique and un-paralleled inventory. Seller was instrumental in forming the National IH Collectors Club and has collected McCormick-Deering/Farmall/IH memorabilia for 50 years and has decided to sell a few duplicate items."

It only went for $26! I wish I had seen it before it closed.

Default Tractor Banner

Here is a cool item on eBay:

"For your consideration today is very nice, large, original 1940's Farmall and International farm machinery equipment display poster or banner from a tractor dealership! This huge sign measures around 57.5" long and 33.5" tall, and is printed onto a very heavy stock paper. Each corner has metal grommets in place for hanging on the wall, and the bottom left corner is marked 332-D and 8-10-C. The bottom right corner reads Litho in USA CSP Co. The beautiful full color signs features two of the famous IH logos, then there are 19 small artists pictures of very old farm equipement and tractors scattered across the top half or more of the sign. They include the spreader, dump rake, seeder, combine, tractor, elevator, hay stacker, forage havester, hay mower, springtooth and disc. Some of these are the old fashioned horse drawn type implements with the seat on them, so really does make a super display piece! The sign reads IH International Harvester, in the logo, then "Is Known Served Best At The Sign of IH Service". Truly one dandy show piece!"

Default Farmall Banner

Another cool vintage dealer ad banner on eBay.

"For your consideration today is very nice, large original 1940's Farmall tractor display poster or banner from a tractor dealership, with no reserve on this auction!! This is guaranteed to be an original vintage item and not a reproduction! Also, be sure to check out our other original 1940's International Harvester implement sign that we have up for sale. This huge sign measures around 57.5" long and 33.5" tall and is printed onto a very heavy stock paper. Each corner has metal grommets in place for hanging on the wall. The bottom left corner is marked 332-D and 8-10-C. The bottom right reads Litho in USA CSP Co. The beautiful full color signs features what we think is a Farmall C or Super C tractor. The sign reads "Your Farmall Tractor Is Known Served Best At The Sign of (arrow points up) IH Service". It has the International Harvester sign in the upper right hand corner. Really a fantastic display piece!"

Default Oil Can Coin Bank

Here is a neat scale model reproduction of an IH oil can, that is made to be a bank.

This auction is for a New Mint in an Unopened Box First Gear model of a 5 gallon can of IH No. 1 Engine Oil for Diesel Engines. This is a 1/4 inch scale model that stands over 4 inches tall, not including the wire bail handle with wooden grip. The bottom of the can features a working coin slot. Comes in the factory sealed brown shipping box.

I put this here because to me this is more like a promotional item. The nice thing is that if you want one, you can still find them for sale brand new from First Gear dealers or collectors, although I could not tell you how to order it. If you want it, find one while you still can!

Default Dealer Oil Can

Here is a nice closeup of an IH oil can. It even has the dealer's name on it.

"Old "IH International Harvester Serviced By Kauffman Bros., Mountville, PA. Parts and Service" Oil Can, I would guess from the 1940's, guaranteed old, in excellent condition, measures 7 1/2" h to top of spout."

Judging by the style of the letters, and the red, white, and blue format, I would figure the 1940s war years like the man said, or possibly even the late 1930s.
