Default Windshield frame adjustments

Hi everyone, I have recently read though some threads trying to figure out how to adjust my ws frame becuase it is hitting the vent windows. I have a 77 SII w/soft top. I'm Thinking of replacing ws frame but thought I would try to adjust this one. I've tried a little before and usually after taking the hard top off, would shim up the 2nd from front body mounts. Naturally this wasn't the best solution. I couldn't find any pictures- which is really what would've helped. Well to cut to the point this is what I did and hopeefully this will help some others with this problem. I removed the bottom bolt on the adjusting devise. both side came out fairly easy. I then pushed up on the ws frame and installed 3/8"ID x 7/8" OD flate washers for shims. This worked great as long as you need to raise it, if you have to lower it, the adjusters will have to be operational. If you do this try to find different thickness washers, I ended up with one washer on left side and 2 different washer thickness on right side. No more doors hitting. I think that there is a nut welded to ws frame and then the bolt with the spacer thats threaded internally and then the lower bolt that faces up, can any one confirm this? Any way thats my 2 cents.
