Default Club Discount at Baxter's and Napa

The club, IHSTO, has had a cash account (meaning you pay right now) at Baxter Auto Parts and Davidsons Napa for some time.

Using these two accounts WILL SAVE YOU MONEY! Almost anything you buy and 'put it on the IHSTO account' will get a discount. I have seen savings of as little as 2%-3% up to 20%!!

It requires no card, no code, no nothing -- just says you have an account and you'd like to use it.

As for Napa - I believe (someone correct me if I am wrong) our account is good at Davidson's Napa locations only. They have stores in Woodburn, Newberg, Forest Grove and elsewhere.

The more stuff that is purchased on these accounts the bigger the discount on everything that we get. As the saying goes "The more you buy, the more you save."

Our NAPA discount is good at DAVISON's NAPA stores. And the discount there is pretty substantial, but since I haven't been helping or DOING many IH projects of late, the account hasn't seen the use it has in the past.

One year we did slightly over $20,000.00 worth of business with Davison's NAPA stores between all the IH's we were working on about 2 years ago.

No, that isn't a typo.

The napa in newberg is not a davison as far as I know. Its owned by the same chain that owns Molalla, Canby, silverton, wilsonville, Mt angle. I think. Very possible I'm wrong though. Use at your own risk.

I have been buying alot of my parts under this account at the Davidson's Napa in Mcminnville and Sheridan. Some discounts are better than others but I allways say IHSTO when i shop there. I wonder if we could get an account at Carquest stores too. Sometimes I shop there if its closer.

Chris, is there any chance you could make this a Sticky so it doesn't disappear over time? A regular reminder will ensure folks keep going.

I set up the Baxter's account in 2004 I believe. I was told that the more we use it, then the discounts get better. Things like motor oil don't really get discounted, but hard parts are where you will find the savings. And it does not matter what parts you are buying, just say your purchase is for "International Scouts and Trucks of Oregon", and they will look it up. This applies to all locations in every state.

And the nice part about this is that they don't even ask about your country of origin - even us Canucks can get a discount at these fine stores ! ! I have tried to do my part to keep the discounts flowing when I am in the area, seldom as it is.

I recently bought a clutch and all the related parts came to almost $800 at a Napa. 2% savings probably wouldn't be worth the drive, but 20% even 10% now thats some serious saving. I think I'll call Baxter's and Davidsons or Davisons Napa next time to find out what the bottom line will be before I buy it close to home.
