Default How many loggings before a perfect chip is burned?

Just wanted to know an *average* of how many times people log data and re-burn (or burn new) chips before you get an IH SV-V8 GM TBI-EFI setup *dialed*?

Are you getting sick of my questions?

No right answer...sorry.
Some guys bolt a stock 350 system on their 345 and never touch it.
others play with them quite a bit.

The fuel will be real close after 1 and near perfect(if there is such a thing) after 3.

Timing is up to the individual and the motor.

Thanks, Bill. One to three *tuning sessions* sounds reasonable. I do not want to be fooling with it eight or nine times, though.

And I am thinking about going with a *full on* conversion when I do it; meaning TBI unit and DuraSpark-ed Holley *gold box* distributor w/ GM module for both fuel AND spark control from the ECM. The setup will also use an EGR solenoid to operate the stock EGR.

Any reason to start *small* and do fuel-only at first, then go with the spark control add-on?

To do fuel only will require additional components so it's not worth it.
Just build it the way you want it from the start.

Mine was so far off the chart it took a few chips just to get it to stop going "full lean" all of the time (and still running rich).

Once I got into the realm of adjustability, one or two chips got things pretty darn close.

I still need to adjust the cold-start routines a bit more.
