Default 4 cyl 196 to 8 cyl 345 conversion

I have been thinking about converting my 1970 800a from a 4 cyl 196 to a 8 cyl 345. Is this difficult to do or would it be basically plug and play? I have seen so much information, but cannot find what I'm looking for.

I have a T-19 automatic transmission? would that work without any problems as well?

Scout is also 2 wheel drive

Any input would be appreciated.

Ryan-
Do a search here on the subject. While very helpful on this site you will be torched for not doing a search on the subject. It is a complicated process, not a plug and play.

I believe it is in the faq, but none the less, it is very involoved. Lots of fab work. If you really want an 8 cyl, it usually is less headache/time/and possibly money to sell your 4cyl and buy an 8

What information did you look at?

The FAQ writeup? And if so, it would have explained that it isn't something you do quickly, or easily.

If so, it explains it pretty well, but you seem to have a more specific question in mind, so ask it.

And... a T19 is a manual transmission, not an automatic. If your Scout is an automatic, it has a cast iron Borg Warner in it if it is still stock.
