I havent seen any different style replacment arms for a Scout II. But you can replace the blades with a Anco 51-13 or 12 . But you will need to drill out the rivet on the arm for the screw to hold on the blade.

You will also need to make some minor adjustments to the arms (bend a little) to make full wind shield contact. I did on mine but mine could have been bent by the po.

I would also recomend the delay wiper switch . Mine have always dragged and squeeked when the wiper would get dry. With the delay it's no longer a problem.

The arms themselves are two different sizes; a passenger side arm won't fit on the driver's side. On the driver's side, I normally eliminate the 'rocker' linkage that comes from the factory, take a torch and heat the flat end of the arm and give it a slight angle bend, then as others have said, drill a hole and use a tiny bolt and nut to attach the wiper blade of my choice. One other thing you can do to add a little pressure to the wiper action is to get a pair of the 'wiper snuggies' that they sell at truck stops for semi's. They seem to make a little difference on the Scout's I've used them on.

Seems like I read a while back about using the wiper arms from a Ford Pinto. But then, finding those parts would probably be just as difficult as finding arms for the Scout!!

Believe it or not but I did find a replacement arm at Advance Auto Parts laying there on one of the shelves.. dont have the part # handy but it fit on the drivers side just fine but unfornately not the passenger side.. allowed me to adjust the arm length and also use a more modern blade connection one of the flat connector type with a little nib to the end and you just slide the blade on till it snaps in place. I'll look for the information next chance I get.

I do remember it being a trico .
Napa online part # WIP60731 reminds me of the one I picked up at Advanced Auto... I might have to go find me a napa and see if they have one to match up the passenger side too cause I just noticed they have four all listed same price range but different part #'s so who knows might get lucky there.

I first converted my OEM arms several years ago, details a bit fuzzy now, however I buy 13-inch blades at Wallmart, remove the rivit from the new arm, drill the hole out just a bit to accomodate the small bolts (with Nylock nuts) that I use to attach the new blades to the old arms.

Seems to me I had to remove the rivit from the U-shaped saddle on the OEM arms the first time I did this swap, but was no problem using a small 3-corner file. I fit new ss bolts to the size of the rivit hole, 4-40 sounds about right but I don't recall the exact size.

This mod has worked well with several sets of blades, is quick and easy to do, and new blades are available at Wallmart or any auto parts store. It keeps the OEM look and the ss bolts / nuts don't rust, plus they are small enough so neither the head or nut interferes with your line of vision. Swapping in new blades requires a few minutes of work but this mod results in wiper blades that perform quite well.
