Default best looking front end scout II

You have all seen them. now respond with the best front end. The scouts changed pretty much at the front end every year that was visual to the general public. lets here it guys...Im partial to the 76 grille. It followed the lower grille, came in light weight plastic and the color combination was perfect. later, mike
Any tech tweaking on the grille that you could let all of us know about...???

I'm partial to the 74 but I currently run the 72.
This was the 75 without the plastic grille on the front of it or the square plastic trim around the headlights. I like the all metal look with the SS trim around the vertical slats like on the 73/74 and the SS trim around the headlights.

This is the 72.

I'm am quite partial to the '76 grill myself, but also like the '80 SSII grill (aftermarket), those slats only look right with square headlights.

76 or 74. They both have a style that could hold up on a brand new truck today.

Absolutely! It's almost a universal law of automotive styling, the first year is the purest expression of the design. Think '61 T-bird, '66 Vette, etc...

This is the first grille that I was running when I got the Scout II painted. I really liked the trim rings around the front headlights.

However, I painted a second grille that I had laying around. This grille only had the holes for the larger plastic headlight trim rings. I chose this grille because you don't see to many of them. This is what I am currently running.

As of right now I am hunting down a front grille that looks like this....It was found on '74 & '75 Scout II. I really dig the center grille insert with the headlight trim rings. As soon as I find one it is going to replace the one above.
