Default traveller tub found in wooden crate!!!!

I found a 99% rust free traveller in a wood crate and it comes with a rolling chassis!!! I've been fixing up a 76 scout for a while now, once in a while I'll just ask someone I know if they know of any old scouts for parts. Well, this last time I said that I got the answer I was looking for. My friend's co-worker overheard me ask him about old scouts and says: "Ive got an old scout in a crate" so, after three times trying to find his house, I finally got to see this "scout in a crate". Down behind this guys house I saw a mid 70's scout, as I got closer I realized it was a bit too long to be a scout, "it's a traveller" I said. The chassis was next to it with the engine covered up,345, auto, 4wd, dana44's. It was getting dark out but I could see someone spent time cleaning and painting it. The tub was sitting there in "the crate" I looked it over as good as I could and only found one bit of rust over the right wheelwell, very minor. A dead tree limb had fallen on the fiberglass top, I didn't pay much attention to it, I wanted to look at this tub!! He said he bought it just like this from a guy who was going to restore it. Looked to me like it had been sitting there for more than 5 years. The tub has a few small dents, no windshield frame, but man it looked solid!!! All the rest of the stuff, lights, rad, heater, wires, etc. were in the tub. The hood doors and front fenders all looked like they came from another traveller or scout, all had rust problems or bad dents. The lift gate looked real good. I couldn't believe my eyes. So, The big question is, how much does he want for all this stuff? He says:
" I'll take $500.00 but you have to take all of it" Well, I'm now the proud owner of a "scout in a crate". I'm not sure how or when I'll get it home but I can't wait till' I can finally take it out of "the crate"

Nice find ,i also had a nice find similar to yours ,on craigs list my son was just browzing, and came across a 1980 scout trubo deisel t-19 300 case with full fiberglass body, that includes the inner and outter fenders, windsheild frame, lower grill, back two gates, plus tub of course ,all in great shape, the metal door are going to get replaced, and he said the motor runs but all belt and wires were off it. don't care for deisels anyway and i'm currently looking for a rotted scout with good gaser,or just motor, and now the kicker is one hour away from me,and a large pickup full of great parts, and only asking $1,500, i jump on it right away and was up there with trailer the next day. this is my third scout ,first one rotted away back in 1985 and it was a 79 and i have a 79 scout II now that i restored seven years ago and is still in show condiction ,but having a scout now that won't rot out i'll have a scout the rest of my life, thanks for time Jim in central N.J. the rust state.............
