Default A word from the Dishon's, Formerly Auto Spa & Restorations

The Dishon's are really good people. A link to this thread has been forwarded back to them:

Gary, Thanks again for all you're help! Following is a brief statement you can post for us. Thanks, Terry D.

To all our past IH customers,
We, Terry & Rita Dishon, formerly Auto Spa & Restorations, would like to thank all our former parts and repair customers for the support over the years at our business and at IH events. The response to our salvage yard close out has been tremendous! We had contacts from 20 states, sales to 5 states who came to our place and shipping sales to 3 other states! We have just about cleaned out the yard and hope to be done by the end of March.
We are keeping our 79 Scout Traveler and are in the process of restoring it. We have a nieghbor who is helping out with the painting and welding, and we hope to have it done this year some time. The mechanical work has been done by an experienced IH mechanic who worked for an IH dealer until it's closing in the 1970's and still specializes in IH trucks, Scouts and equipment. Rita and I are doing as much as we can and we enjoy getting back to work in the shop, if only on a limited basis.
My health is still in question, I have had a recent radioactive-iodine treatment (for thyroid cancer) and I am recuperating now and feeling better daily! We won't know for a while what the outcome is but we and the Doctors are optimistic.
Rita and I hope we can come to some IH events in the furture and look forward to seeing all our friends and IH Family!
Thanks so much for all the prayers, sales and moral support you all have given us through the years and we only hope we can do the same for you!

Terry & Rita Dishon, formerly Auto Spa & Restorations, Alta Vista, Kansas

Most any refrigeration supply house or service business should be able to find one that will replace what you have,
That is probably a Ranco( Brand name ) and the capillary temp sensing tube, and mounting bracket hole centers, are probably standard and easy to match. Midrange temperature cut-off should be some where around four degrees below zero.

Digging around you never know what you will find. Here is a post from Gary back in 06 when Terry was 1st not felling well.

Thank you Gary and everyone for your support during this tough time.
