Default How hard is it to keep/wire factory dash gauges w/ aftermarket wiring harness?

Need to put a brand new wiring harness in the 77 Scout II as soon as the weather cools down a bit. I am in the process of doing a total resto on 3 complete Scout II factory dashes. I'd like to keep the factory gauges if possible but was wondering how hard it is to wire these with an aftermarket harness?

The original harness in the Scout now was hacked up by a P.O. and cheap (and now broken) aftermarket gauges were put in but I've removed them. The factory dash harness is cut and missing but I do have a complete 79 factory harness which looks "okay".

I'd appreciate any help from you experts on what the best way to go would be. This will be my first harness rewiring job I've ever done and I'd like to do it right the first time.

***So... rewire Scout II with aftermarket harness and use the original Scout II gauges or use aftermarket gauges??? ***

Thanks.

I installed an EZ-21 wiring harness and kept the factory guages. It wasn't hard I bought a CVR fron napa and used the factory wiring digrams to wire them up.
