Got almost all the break lines done, but realized the frt lines were bigger than the rest.

Have 1 wire left to install ( ran out of brown ) and the wire harness is done!

Got the driver side seat pulled apart and repainted base. Time to get the power seat wired in soon.

May have traded my 03 mustang for 5 brand new never used 33" tires. now I need to sand blast my rims after I paint strip em. Then i will have mudslingertwo powder coat em.

If I can get the fender that is left on and the hood next weekend is coat the rest of the truck day.

all in all a good days work. all the stuff left to do.... basically...well to it will drive.

* build flat bed
* Install SSII Doors
* install dana 20
* install drive lines
* fix driver seat - in work
* install fender
* install grill
* install hood
* electric fan
* brakes done and bleed - in work
* tires
* eng mounts bolted down
* steering bolted
* wire harness done - 95% done
* wood light box
* gas tank
* fix top (need to drill new holes.)
* 4 core the radiator
* install the heater core
* heater hoses
* radiator hoses
* vacume lines

Not really an engine guy so question: Would it be bad to remove and replace 2 head bolts on the driver side? I know I need to use new bolts and all.

I want to us the 94 wire channel bar for my wiring and I need the stud style bolts. on the 72 they are in the wrong spots.

Okay, the answer to that question was not a good idea. Would cause head gasket to leak most likely.

new question could really use a reply. Does circuit BY16 (ignition) go to the "I" Terminal on my ford solenoid? - No it goes to the ballast resistor correct? then to the coil.

Also, I need a hint as to where the wire comes from off my ignition s/w to the ballast resistor to run my coil. Answered above.

"I " Terminal:

Third the "s" post on my ford solenoid goes to my coil as well with no resistance for the initial start correct? - No forgot "S" goes to the ign s/w

So as of now BY16 goes to the ballast resistor, "I" to the coil "+" side, "s" to the ign s/w. Now I just have to hook my dizzy wire to my "-" side of my coil and I think I am good.

Been a while for me with points and ignition was always my weak point with wiring.

Thanks for any help guys.

Sorry been busy at work. Also had to put an 800.00 transmission in my Mustang so way behind on the Scout now.

Basically I was about 2/3 of the way done when I hit 2 snags.

1st is the bolt for the frt driver side brake block. (splits from master cil to dr side brk hose and to pass side hard line) Seems the bolt is to big (long) to go into the ext brake lines I got from SSS. I called SSS and had them send me 4 more bolts and they are all to long. I haven't figured out what to exactly do yet.

2nd issue was a bad electrical gremlin in the stock 79 dash harness. I got tired of chasing it around so said forget it and am waiting for next payday to install an EZ 21 cir harness, new dash conversion plat and all new round gauges.

If I can get those two done I can get back on track.

I really need to get on here and do an update! I will try tonight. Just been working so much.

Got an Ez 21 Cir harness it's 2/3 installed. Converted to an XJ steering column and delayed wiper control. Also converted the XJ wiper motor to fit the Scout.

let's see...oh a custom round dial gauge plate is being fabbed at troys shop. Got all the gauges just waiting to pick it up.

Installed a power antenna so I can manually move it up and down for wheeling.

Built a bright lights kit. and some other cool electrical doohickies.

Pics to come soon.
