here is the JB shaft (clean) and a stock D300 shaft (dirty)
The JB shaft is a PITA you have to mill the bearing cap.

it is just how the foto is cropped
here is the rear shaft ![]() for the front 32 spline upgrade (JB) I had to mill the front bearing cap, it is the aluminum cap into which the shifters and shiftrail seals are integrated. Royal PITA

Could you post up the details on exactly what you did to install the front output? A buddy with a VERY complete machine shop has "volunteered" to rebuild my d300 with 4 to 1 and a 32 spline front output (I already have a AA 32 spline on the rear). Thanks in advance. Eric |
