A rear driveshaft from a Manual tranny(3 or 4 spd) Scout II is about 1 inch longer than a rear driveshaft from an Automatic tranny Scout II. So when doing a Rear SOA setup it would be very nice to have that extra 1 inch. You can do an SOA without that extra 1 inch, but why not ask around?? You can also get the shaft lenghtened at a shop but $$$.
