Default Hello My Name is Rich....

And I'm a Binderholic.....

I am in upstate NY on vacation for my mom's 75th BDay.

Driving down the road in the middle of nowhere....

Look next to a fire station, see an immaculate 1974 200 Dually......49k miles.....with a utility bed on it...

Almost cause an accident stopping......pull over.....hmmm, grass is pretty tall underneath it...wonder.....

go inside, $1000 dollars later, she's mine......392, 4pd, dually, 4WD...seems like a T98

going to drive it to my sister's house in PA on the way home to Atlanta, borrow my brother in laws trailer and bring it home.

Wife says I'm suffering from a mental illness.....as some of you know, right before we left Atlanta, I picked up a 75 Travelall....

I'll post pics when able.... but probably won't be for a while....

Front axle looks like a Dana60, but is closed knuckle....but besides that, I'm very happy with the purchase...

Ok, back to my mom's chicken cutlet parmigiana....

Shipmate...
Nice to be able to plant some roots and actually accumulate stuff, isn't it!!

How many times did we have to sell off our prized posessions when the next set of orders came in!

You still have a few to go to catch me.

74 with a closed knuckle?? Thought they only did that up to 73? Or is the 1 ton dually setup still used closed knuckle for 74?

Yep 74-75 1ton 4wd used the same chassis/running gear as the 69-73 trucks. So for reference if you have a 74-75 200 1 ton 4wd, ask the parts guys for 69-73 stuff.

That closed knuckle axle is a Dana 70, axle code FA52.

Your front axle is a Dana 70.
Rear axle is an IH RA-15, both axles have a 4.88 ratio.
Transmission is most likely a WG T19 (IH T-427) w/syncho in 1st gear, (granny).
T-Case is NP-205.
Enjoy.

Hi Rich...

Thank you for sharing your story. Its OK to be addicted to IH's as long as you don't black out.
