Default Hex parameters for flash n burn 27SF512 chip

i must have my head totally burried up somewhere and need a hand getting straightened out

I am running a 7747 computer with the moates adapter to run the 27SF512 chips

My addressing is setup:

Chip addressing:
start address in Hex: 00F000
End address in Hex: 00FFFF

Buffer addressing:
start address in Hex: 000000
End address in Hex: 000FFF

I know the chips are good but i think my addressing is preventing the writen data from being read by the TBI computer. obviously i fat fingered something and cant seemt o walk it back to where i goofed up but im leaning towards the flash and burn parameters i thinking my addressing is wrong but for some reason im not able to confirm what im running for my flash and burn parameters.

Thanks
Dusty

I simply open flash n burn.
Select 27sf512 for the chip
open bin file which should be 4K.
The FnB will select the proper addressing.
If you want to email me your bin I can check it.

bill thanks

i might do that if i cant hash it out tonight, really strange, i pulled my chip to adjust the VE table and to copy the old bin at least so i had a hard copy since my laptop went up in smoke in a house fire. when i went to take data off the chip the data that came off was full parameter and the tuner cats thought i needed the $$F xdf file instead of the 42F.XDF file at that point something was up .... after that point i coudlnt reuse the old chip so i dug out my other two spare computers which and found a older zipped file of my bin from back in 2009 that used to work well enough to get me started again and even with that or a base ASDU bin downloaded it seems that i can verify the bin against eh buffer and all is good as well the chip can be verified agaisnt the buffer but now i have tried all three of my 7747 computers which all tested out good two days ago and several chips and all the sudden out of the blue now the computer check engine light is stuck on and not recognizing any system other than limp mode......

maybe i'll reinstall Fnb on my old version it always took care of the settings but my new one currently all chip hex settings for various chips are all 000000 which i found vexing looks like from your picture my memory was right and the settings ive got should work......

looks like im back to a chip/computer issue im getting the correct 4k bin size

I'll keep you posted again thank you for posting up that info and verifying that. it helped alot

Reading the 27sf512 is different....you won't end up with the 4k bin if you select the chip first.
When you do it will change the buffer address when you select the read.
So you have to go back and manually set the read and buffer address.

The write up in the support section of moates covers it also.

EDIT...

I just checked one and it did read the 27sf512 properly and gave me a 4k bin with just selecting the 27sf512 and having the same buffer as when burning the 4k bin.
