So I picked these 4 just because they seemed too be good tires. So I posted this poll too see what all of you out there thought about these 4 tires and get your imput on these tires on how they Handle in MUD, SNOW, ICE, RAIN, SAND, PAVEMENT, ROCKS, and about any other type of senario. Also if you do run these tires, add how long they lasted for you and your raiting

also it will help me decide I still have not made my mind up yet. I want a mud tire but I want a all terrain tire too for the winter driving. Up hear in Indiana it can get muddy out in these fields plus lots of snow and ice in the winter time, and acasionaly I like going up too Silver Lake dunes for some fun so yeah I would like too see what all of your guys comments and post willl Be.
Well thank you guys again for looking at another post of mine and have a great day
Andrew

I went with the duratrac (cheaper at the time) and used the price at tirecrawler to work with discount and then got my military discount on top of that.
So it paid for the extra offroad warranty.

And I don't let a Witch any where near my scout.
I have enough problems figuring out which tire I want.

I did a lot of research on this over the last month and I ended up going with Firestone Destinations A/T (265 75 16) for my Scout. That said, I've seen A LOT of trucks/ offroad vehicles with the BFGs and people seem to really like them. I have heard that a to get a tire that works well in mud/sand, you really need a M/T (which BFG also makes a nice one). I don't know how true that is though.

I generally trust the reviews on Tirerack as well. Also maybe try Consumer Reports?

Good luck!

If you get snow where you live, the BFG A/T is a great snow tire. More than likely, you'll find the A/T better suited for a vehicle that sees less than 40% off-road time.

I'm sure what you have will do a nice job. Myself I have always been a big fan of BFG and Michelin tires.

And the BFG radial AT have been my favorite Scout tire since Dad bought his first set in 1978. I like the looks of the Mud TA. But I don't have a need for a mud tire.

+1 Goodyear Duratrac
Currently running MTR with Kevlar and they are okay on pavement but not great on wet roads.
Next set will be the Duratracs.

We run BFG AT on the Scouts, Travelers and the Travelall and have had really good luck with them wearing very well for the weight they have to carry. I have had my tires on my Traveler since 07 and have put at least 25k on them and they are holding up very well.

Before that I had a set of BFG MT's on her and in a yr she took the tread down by 50% with everyday driving. We found the MT tire was just to soft for every day driving but excellent on the trail.

Jeff has a set of Kumo AT tires on his Scout II which is the old style of BFG AT's and we have had good luck with those as well.

I really like the BFG A/T. If I did any off road in my truck I'd go with the BFG M/T,

Brett

i am going with falken or farm store tires next..i have some farm store speshul mud tires now which are decent..i wont argue against BFG as they are good but rather pricey..hard to name best tire..in this day and age everything is good and far better than what we had avaialble in 1976 (ie firestone 521)
