Default And the hits just keep on comin.......

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have realized that my life should be a book of comic errors. I mean really? This much finds me on a daily basis? Come On!!
To help vent, I decided to write about it for all the Binder folk to relish in my idiot......ness.

Here's the latest saga.

Saturday: My only day off in a long time where I can get ALOT of honey-doos knocked out, hang out around the house, consume frothy beverages, and just be an all around GUY.

NO SIR!!

I get a phone call from a realtive who lives 3 hours away with a sewer pump that has failed, and I have to be the one to repair/replace it. So, up at 5:00, out the door at 6:00, for a long drive to literally go play in poo. Family poo. YAY!!
Meh, no big deal, replaced the pump, 100 degree weather with no shade, head hung over a steaming pit of (insert rhyming four letter word here).
Then comes the venture back to the house. I'm about an hour away from many, many, yes, many frothy beverages. Thats all on my mind.
[Homer Simpson voice on] mmmmmmmm........beer..... [Homer Simpson voice off]

Boom! Clank Clank Clank.....

Transfer case goes. More like the linkage for the transfer case. So at 72mph on I40 I'm trying to ingage 4HI, and it's not happy. Pull over, realize the noise is nothing more than the front drive shaft grinding at the u-joints. Ok, cool, just remove the front driveshaft, and i'll be on my merry little way. Oh, no, wait, this is the day I have all the plumbing tools you can imagine, but not one stinking, lousy 1/2 box wrench!! So, a 3 hour drive turned into a 5 hour drive, because the GPS decided to take me home via avoiding interstates, through downtown Nashville, Saturday afternoon. Picture a big ugly dented Scout, grinding metal with every rotation of the driveshafts, running hot, air off, and a big sweaty bald guy trying to drive and wipe his forehead through tons of pedestrians in between buses and cabs.
Oh, yeah, I'm the man.
Fast forward to today. Minding my own business, coming out of a ceiling after starting a little remodeling project, and discover that gravity still does work. Yup, that's right, ladder rocks out from under me, and acoustical ceiling tiles won't hold a large arse like me, so down I go, nine feet, over a folding ladder, into a concrete floor, steel door, you get the picture.

So, after breaking a truck, hobbling home, falling 9 feet, spraining my ankle, and using a sick day, I FINALLY get to have a beer.
And so it also seems EVERY time I go to the Doctor, (seems to be quite frequently) they say the same thing, "everything is ok, you didn't break anything, but we found some arthritis on the x-rays you may need to be concerned about.
I really don't like getting old.

Thanks for the local update on the operational status of gravity.

I commend and then recommend you stay indoors for the next 5 days and convalesce; one way or another.

Thanks, Spence.

I would say I'll have enough that I'd crash at your place, but crash is not a word that I'm fond of right now.
By the way, I now have medical evidence that plumbers age in dog years. Found no broken bones, but much more arthritis in the knee (s) and ankle, plus bone spurs in my left foot. Planters something-itis is what they called it.

YAY!!

All you little kids out there reading this, let this be a lesson to you. Go to college. Get a degree, not a bachelor's in beer-n-wemmens chasin' (BBNW), and get a job in an air conditioned office, telling turds like me what to do.

Much better for your health in the long run.

I'm just sayin'.....

Tony,
you are enjoying quite a time. I can tell you from personal expirence that a plantar fasciitis is not fun at all. That is what I have been fighting for the last year and a half. Painful. I was able to see Dr Broussard from the Titans. He taught me some exercises that have helped. Also, I learned that health insurance doesnt always cover everything. If they try to fit you with a boot, ask, it saved me $200. I was able to get the exact one that they wanted $200 for online for $35.

Thank you for cheering me up yesterday in light of what your situation is.

My pleasure.

At the end of the day, I just like to share how goofed my life can be sometimes. I figure somebody else out there can find the humor in it like I do.

I'm thinking about writing a memoir. You know, one of those books you read while "talking to a man about a farm".

I'll call it: "My Life.......Down the Drain"
