Default light knob

hi how can i remove the light knob from tha triangulare axel

Assume you are talking about the headlight switch...

Do not know which IH you have, but they are generally "GM" switches.

There is a "push button" on the "top" (opposite from wiring connector).

You turn the headlights on / kmob all the way out; push the button in and hold it down while pulling the knob / shaft out of the switch.

I think the switch is mounted "upside down" on (some?) IHs. If you poke your head under the dash, you can see the "push button" with a flashlight.

I think other switches may have a set screw in the knob - only have experience with "old" GM switches.

To replace; just push the shaft back into the switch.

sorry i drive a sccout II from 1977
and i am trying too get the black nob with the symbel for the light of af the axel
the mechanizem is no problem too get of onse the the nob is of i can get it troug the daschboard

The knob stays on the shaft...there is a push button on the switch behind the dash that needs to be pushed, like Robert said. The knob and shaft pull out of that as an assembly.
