Bill, could you be more specific as to what modifications you made to the lakewood bellhousing and the transmission?

I have the sae#4 and a 727 auto adapter here, and would like if possible to use a mustang 5.0 t5, behind it, so... What mods to what, and where did you get them done?

Thanks...... Pictures would be nice......

The bellhousing was already modified to bolt up a chevy trans. I cut around 2 1/2" out, bolted the flanged part to the engine, indicated the trans section to be centered and square to the crank and welded it together. bolted up a Chevy Astrovan diaphragm clutch and S-10 5speed. The trans is a bone stock t-5.
Sorry no pictures.

The sd33/727 was a 440 mopar pattern vs the SV IH pattern in gas scouts.

So the manual swap could be done as described with various manual parts that you can bolt together using the mopar bell housing.

Ok Bill, lets put this puppy to bed.........

If I understand you correctly, this is what I need to buy to be able to install my T5 behind the sd33, with the 727 adapter using the sae#4 flywheel and clutch system, correct? (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the details)...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QT...ion+Type%7cT-5

If it is really that simple, then I'm in business.....

Please confirm............

Thanks..

A stock Mopar bellhousing puts the trans 3-4" too far back & the input shaft won't reach the clutch.

OK, So I could do the sd33 with auto adapter, sae#4 flywheel and a clutch system, along with this special bell-housing kit to match up my ford T-5.

If that works, then it will make things real easy.

See what you all think.
