The turn signal indicator lights remain on at all times while the head lights are on. When headlights are off so are the indicator lights. When directional is used the indicator light blinks on and off. Is it normal for the indicator lights to stay on while the head lights are on or is it a ground issue? If ground where to start. I have great ground from battery to block back to tub. Thanks |

It is your ground for the TS/park light buckets, the parking lights are grounding through the TS indicators.

Yep sounds like a ground issue on the front turn marker lamps. I had iisues 2-3 times. And wound up running an extra ground wire from the housing to the frame. Clean the ground contacts and I use a dab of Antiseize to help prevent just at the ground spot.

-As noted,
---Further explanation (I have posted wiring diagrams from my* shop manuals for some time now and they, along with solution to this problem can be found through a search), the Parking Lights ground at the fender, fender grounds to frame, frame is connected/grounded to the battery, battery has ground jumper to fender, fender has ground jumper to cowl, cowl grounds to door pillar, door pillar to kicker panel, dash grounds to kicker panel & headlight switch grounds to dash. The #11 circuit physically has two grounding points. First is the technical ground, at the dash speaker mounting stud behind dash, near ash tray. Second is the mechanical/physical ground, at the bucket where it mounts _to the fender. Look here for a description of a "fix" (boogers, tape and/or gum) I made in 1995 when I first sensed that sheet metal, seams & corrosion were an annoyance to StoneThrower. StoneThrower did have all the factory ground jumpers, but the cowl to kicker, kicker to dash weakness wasn't expected and the speed nuts & screw style fastening is fine, but inadequate for grounding. ---Completely remove the parking light bucket & you'll see. If you happen to have the lights on while doing this & notice the parking lights get brighter while turning a lenses screw, do not* just simply snug them down. That is the road to cracked lenses & new aren't always reasonable in price.
