Default Re: 1967 "C" truck 1100 can't get it to run right

-Welcome,

---In no way can it compare to an IH Factory Service Manual, but until one can be acquired, the '68 une-up section from my vintage auto CDs should help. I'm in the boonies & only have mobile access, so I'll most likely have to go offline to transfer & UL the file, then give you a link.

---Bear with me; Even though the pain of living outside civilization is outweighed by the comforts of being able to hammer in the garage all hours of the night, I still appreciate broadband.

"We replaced this & that & the bill comes to $x,xxx.xx ... but we couldn't find the problem. What payment method will you be using?"?

---No problem! Just remember that there's no substitute for a Factory* manual, and many are are available from the Scout Light Line dealers such as the one previously mentioned (Binder Books).

---My apologies if you've been banging your head the past few days, even though you have the 2nd best lit to go by. If by chance you have Autolite 303s or any Champion plug, you'll undoubtedly beat it till your numb. The J10Y plug in the pages I ULed cross to the Autolite 75, 76 & no longer available 77. If you want a resistor type, which is primarily for electronic ignition, then the 85, 86 & 87 would be the correct Autolite choices. Excuse the premature image failure in the link I am giving you, it happens with bandwi-morons when they get bored & resort to juvinile vandalism. I'll repair the image at a later date when I have easy access.

---See this post for a list of plug choices. Again, ignore references to Champion, as well as AC, the quality is nowhere near what they were decades ago. Autolites will have tone inspected to ensure that the electrodes are squares/centered. There has been talk that the quality control overseas, is 1/10th what it was in Mexico, from where the last I purchased were manufactured.
