Your interior lights actually work by switching the ground wire on and off, my guess would be you shorted the ground wire for your dome light which makes all your interior lights come on.
Your dome light housing is plastic so it has a ground wire running up the pass rear fender. Ron

As Ron mentioned the dome lights work on ground switching so that they can be turned on and off by multiple switches through out the vehicle. Also as he mentioned the one for the rear dome light runs up the RR of the truck and feeds all the way back to the dash through the frame. Did they weld a new hanger on the pass side frame rail or get their torch anywhere near it? So my guess is that the ground wire back there has been melted to ground and I wouldn't be surprised if you've got rear lighting problems now too.
