Default OEM Jack

For a '64 pickup (Travelette in my case) would the original jack have been a bottle jack or a scissors jack? It would have mounted on the inner right fender of the truck, right?

Any confirm or correct?

Thanks,

JP

Jeff,

Most likely my Travelette had the same thing. Would you possibly have a picture of the jack? And, did it mount on the right side of the engine or the left?

Thanks,

JP

And that jack is a P.O.S.- never use it! Leave it there for show and carry a decent bottle or sissor jack hidden away....

It is a GM P.O.S.

Doc,

You wouldn't happen to know the GM part number for that P.O.S.? I have no intention of using it, I just want to source one for show.

Thanks,

JP

You should be able to find hundreds of them in GM car trunks in any junkyard.

The time consuming part will be finding the correct "cradle" that mates to your IH bumper.
Good Luck.
