Default Windshield Help '73 1110 Pickup

Just curious as what I should expect to pay for a windshield for a '73 1110 Pickup?

I found a new one without a seal for about $300, but for a Travelall... I was unable to find one for a Pickup, so I asked about Travelall ones too. They both look the same to me, but I want to make sure before I buy one...

Also where would be the best place to get the seal? Im having trouble finding one, thanks!!

Do you have any junk yards around the area? They may have some for cheap.

I think $300 is reasonable for a new one; that's around what I paid a few years ago. The reference material that the glass companies use tends to goof on these trucks. Some will completely ignore them while others will only list the Travelall despite that fact that the pickups are identical.

I got my seal from Super Scout Specialists. If you put it in yourself, you will think it is totally wrong because it will seem way too long, but it will work, really! You could also check with Restoration Specialities, they carry several pieces of weatherstripping for these trucks.

Can they actually put their hands on that piece of glass? When I was looking for one for my '74 T'ette a couple years ago a bunch of places told me they could get it, but when they actually went to order it wasn't available. That may have changed since 2009, but I wouldn't bet on it. I ended up finding one at a local pic-n-pull for $35 that had one crack in the lower passenger corner.

I got the seal from Binder Books.

HTH,

Will Marsh

If you can actually get one for $300, that is one heck of a deal. Travelall is the same as the pickup. New windshields are scarce as manufacturing dried up in the last five years.

Gasket is easy, any Light Line dealer. I got my last two from Super Scout Specialists.

69 - 75 Pickup and Travelall are the same. Recently got a used one for less than $100.
57 - 68 Pickup and travelall [and Loadstar through 86] are the same. Just found a used one for $100. New gasket from IHON.

Wagonmaster is the same also. I tried Safelite about a 18 months ago and quoted me a price. I said do it and there were none to be found

I got a really nice one from a guy in N.C. for less than half the quoted price. I paid $75 to have it installed
